Keys Bags Names Words: A documentary film about hope in aging and dementia

Keys Bags Names Words is a quirky and inspiring lens portraying stories of the personal and global impacts of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. It follows a cohort of young scientists and artists from around the world as they harness every aspect of creativity, humor and compassion to lead the way towards hope and resilience.

Join us for a FREE film screening followed by a panel discussion. This event is in conjunction with the National Public Health Week .

Our panel discussion with experts, advocates and individuals with lived experience of dementia will:

Explore public health implications of dementia
Consider personal experiences and educational opportunities

Raise awareness about dementia as a public health issue
Learn how dementia affects us all.

Moderator: Sherril Gelmon, Former Care Partner and Professor of Health Systems Management & Policy, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health

Walter Dawson, Former Care Partner and Assistant Professor, OHSU Layton Center, PSU Institute on Aging and OHSU-PSU School of Public Health

Dan Gibbs, retired neurologist living with dementia

Bandana Shrestha, State Director, AARP Oregon

Paul Halverson, Dean, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health

Location: Smith Memorial Student Union, PSU Smith Ballroom Rm 355. Once you enter from Broadway st, head straight down the hall. The elevators will be on your left. Take the main elevators to the 3rd floor. Once you exit the elevator, turn right and the ballroom entrance will be on your left.
